The Storymoja Festival comes to Nakuru as the Careerpedia Edition with a promise of 92 exciting sessions for children and adults, 4 Workshops for educators led by more than 47 creatives and professionals, set up in 7 venues within the Kenya National Library Service - Nakuru Branch.

The KNLS – Nakuru Branch is a four storeyed, ultramodern facility which serves as the hub for knowledge and information in the region. This makes it the most suitable venue for this festival.

Storymoja Festival: Careerpedia Edition [May 28 -30, 2015] comes to Nakuru as the Careerpedia Edition with a promise of 92 exciting sessions for children and adults, 4 Workshops for educators led by more than 47 creatives and professionals, set up in 7 venues within the Kenya National Library Service – Nakuru Branch.

  • Diaper Mentality Exhibition with Photojournalist Boniface Mwangi.
  •  

  • Children’s Life Skills. Peter Sankale of Vioja Mahakamani and Storymoja’s Eric Obar take children through an exciting, creative and interactive etiquette workshop.

  • The Sarakasi dancers, acrobats and musicians will keep children and adults energized, excited and occasionally … in a trance!
  •  

  • American Corner: US children author and story teller will regale attendees with anecdotes on how to discover the mysteries of stories and storytelling.
  •  

  • Discovering the Body Language for Self-development with Careerpedia Brand Manager Dorcas Kinyua and Citizen TV drama series Tahidi High actor Teacher Karimi.
  •  

  • Sakata judge and singer Joan Ball-Burgess will invite the attendees to experience the magic of fusing art and literacy with dance.
  •  

  • Fasihi guru Ken Walibora will give secondary school teachers new insights on how to teach Fasihi to their students.
  •  

  • Blogging and social media workshop facilitated by the Bloggers Association of Kenya (BAKE).
  •  

  • US human resource professional Brendan Molly will take participants through resume writing and branding skills and also enlighten them on the secrets of packaging for success.

  • Centonomy Science Edition. An interesting session that will demystify myths about money and teach participants on how to create wealth.
